Room spinning when turning over in bed at night?

Morning everyone, I’ve never experienced anything like this before so hoping someone on here has? I’m 23 weeks pregnant and for the last 2 nights come maybe 3/4am every time I turn over to get comfortable the room completely spins for a good 15 seconds, it’s horrible.

I do currently have a bit of a nasty cold so I wondered if that had anything to do with it? And like I say I’m currently pregnant and I do have blood pressure that’s on the lower side but not super low. I am dizzy upon standing sometimes throughout the day but nothing like what I’ve been experiencing at night.

Any suggestions at all?

Hi @L00k4m3x, did you get an answer to this? Did it resolve? I'm having similar at 25 weeks xx

Hello it sounds a bit like BPPV which happened to me when I was lying in bed and flipped round from lying on my left side to my right side. I would mention it to your doctor.

It honestly lasted about 7 days and then it stopped happening! I think if I’m remembering rightly, I had a bad cold at the time (just read my original post and yup, nasty cold) so I think it was linked to my sinuses somehow. It was awful whilst it lasted though, if it had persisted I would have 100% gone to the doctors or at the very least mentioned it to my midwife.
