7 Week Ultrasound Tomorrow

Hello everyone!

I am very excited and really nervous about a 7 week u/s scan I have tomorrow. I had a scan at 5w3d as I had a tiny bit of bleeding (turns out I just stabbed my cervix with the progesterone applicator...really cool) and all we saw was a gestational sac so I feel a bit of pressure to see everything on the scan tomorrow.

So tell me...what did you guys see on your scans from around this time? Are there any good questions I should remember to ask, particular things to look out for?

There may well not be much to see at 7w but at 7+3 I got to see a heartbeat which was nice

I went at 7w but they dated me 6w3 seen heartbeat

You wont see a lot a black space with a blob in the middle and hopefully a flickering heartbeat within the blob!
We went at just over 8 weeks and could see limb buds just starting to form.

There won’t be much more to see but there should be a heartbeat. Although I had to properly look for it when I had a scan at 6+5. There’s honestly not much else they can tell you at that stage.

I had a scan at 7+2 in this pregnancy and it was basically a misshapen blob with a little flickering heartbeat - so not exactly anything amazing to look at, but it was useful after a previous loss to see that there was a heartbeat and baby was measuring in line with my dates. Good luck!

We went at 6+6 but we were actually 7+3, saw baby, heartbeat etc. Baby looked like baked bean. Had another scan at 10+5 and the difference in what you can see is amazing x

Thanks everyone! Had our scan and I am 7w1d and embryo measured at 6w4d, so a little behind…sonographer didn’t seem concerned, said anything within 7 days is considered alright. Saw the heartbeat which was magical 💓 they are having me back in a week and half to check again due to slightly small size. Hopefully baby catches up!
