Late positive, low hCG - hopeless?

Hi ladies. I'm feeling hope level 0, but wondered if anyone had had any success in a similar situation, just to get me through the next day. Or unsuccessful stories with a similar pattern.

My first BFP - after testing from 10dpo onwards - was 14dpo (testing with Clear Blue early tests). I'm basing O on the Clear Blue ovulation tests, so it feels likely that I'm working to the right dates.

I had bhCG taken at 16dpo (last Tues) and the results were only 84. I had a second test last night (18dpo) and will get the results tomorrow. I know it's the difference between the two that officially matters, but all of this seems to point to a non viable - late positive, and very low hCG.

Last cycle I had a chemical pregnancy (bleeding started 4w4d), and I am feeling like this is going to be the same. I'm 4w6d today.

Thanks so much in advance, it would be lovely to hear your similar stories, however they went!

I'm 4+5 so only a day behind you. I haven't had bloods/hcg tested in early pregnancy (so I'm not much help) but I'd be curious.

Last pregnancy I had blazing positives and great strong line progression from 9DPO. Ended in mc at 7 weeks.

This pregnancy I started testing at 8DPO. Negative for the first 2 days and then got a digital positive at 10DPO. However this time the line progression has been faint, slow and worrying. Nowhere near where it was last time so I've been curious about my hcg levels and did have a panic last weekend it would end in a chemical. The lines are getting darker but very slowly and nowhere near as dark as previous, I'm currently 19DPO.

So just wanted to say I'm right there with you. Hopefully your next blood results will give you some comfort 🤞🏼

Oh am wishing you all the best! From the (too many) forums I've read, testing positive early seems to often be a good sign, and the fact the tests are getting darker too, so I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

I'm really sorry to hear about your MC 😢.

The two blood tests were £40 each if you were considering it, which seems pretty standard.

Bloods came back raised but not doubled. So more bloods Sunday and scan Monday. But expect to miscarry or it’s ectopic.

Oh I am sorry to hear that. How raised were they? I've heard that doubling isn't necessarily the magic number and that 50% can be OK. Crossing everything for you x
