HCG levels - worried

Hi all,

Please can someone tell me if these HCG levels look good? I read that they're meant to double every 48 hours but other sources say that it can be every 72-96 hours?

I have a son who was born in 2016 and I had 3 chemicals in 2019 and no pregnancies since so this is a very very much wanted surprise, as we believed we couldn't conceive.

29/06/24 (4 + 2 weeks) - 438
01/05/24 (4 + 4 weeks) - 977
07/05/24 (5 + 3 weeks) - 4,170

The first two numbers doubled in 48hrs but, if we go by the doubling every 48hrs thing, my third number should be at least 7,800 by now.

I don't know what to think. Does anyone have any experience of numbers rising more slowly or am I likely to lose this baby too?

Those numbers look good, between 1200 and 6000, it usually takes 72+ hours to double.

I had 2 hcg tests done at 5-6 weeks and doubling time was 72/73 hours, seen a heartbeat and fingers crossed it continues.

Your results look really positive ❤

Absolutely, especially after losses @TheFutureFreaksMeOut, I've also had 3 early losses last year and found it so hard to keep positive about it. I keep getting to scans and preparing myself for both outcomes. Thankfully it's been good outcomes so far ❤

Set tiny milestones for yourself, I've found that helpful and also knowing you're pregnant today and remember that you haven't had anything else to indicate otherwise x
