Pain Under Right Rib Pregnant

Hi,

I am 11 weeks pregnant.

I have started getting a pain under my right rib, it hurts to sleep on my sides, I can feel a small bit of pain when I hiccup, it does hurt when stood up as well.

The pain is mild, I wouldn't say I'm in agony but it's weird and uncomfortable!

I know it's common to get rib pain later on in pregnancy but I'm in my 1st trimester!

Does anyone have any ideas what this is? Should I be worried?
Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Thank you!

Rib pain can be a sign of pre-eclampsia, for me it was becuase of the same thing that causes hip pain, tendons slacken and bones move and rub. But 11 weeks is pretty early. I wouldn't assume its anything serious, you her loads of niggling and annoying pains during pregnancy. You should have your 12 week appointment soon so ask them.

Obviously if it gets really bad or you get back headaches or swelling, ring your epau or gp. Some epau you can contact directly, some you need to be referred by your gp.
