Hello, I’m looking for some advice. I got a positive test from 01/05, I should be about 4w5d from LMP. I’ve done a test again this morning come back positive quickly, then two hours later I started spotting. So far I’ve been spotting brown/pinkish for around 12 hours, I done another test this evening for reassurance and come back positive as well. I had an early miscarriage two months ago, so I called the early pregnancy unit. They said unless I have a lot of cramping and bleeding I shouldn’t worry, to call them back if it gets heavier or I’m more worried. Has this happened to anyone else and had a positive outcome? I’m so worried as my early miscarriage happened at 4w5d last time, feel a bit like history is repeating itself. I’ve attached the test Ive done this evening below, but I read that tests can still be positive even through a miscarriage so I just feel so I just feel a bit confused by everything.

I had brown spotting at 5 weeks pregnant, 6 weeks pregnant and then again at 8 weeks pregnant. Sadly epu couldn’t do anything until I hit 6 weeks. I had an early scan at 6 weeks and seen a heart beat. I rescanned at 8 weeks and seen a little bean bouncing about. I now have a healthy and happy 2 month old next to me.

Sadly with brown spotting it’s hard to tell. Brown is the sign in old blood so it’s slightly positive that it’s not red or heavy.
Sadly it’s a waiting game, you could always phone back and see if they will scan you at 6 weeks to reassure you.

🤞 for you!
