Ughh the heart burn

Anyone else had heartburn from hell?

I've ended up being prescribed Omeprazole as gavascon become a regular drink for me.

I'm hoping it means my baby ends up with hair like they say it does as I want something to show for the burning throat 😅

It’s horrible!! I had it really badly with dd. Even the thought of greasy/spicy food was enough to make me hurl. She had a bit of hair but not tons 😂

If you want to believe, my heartburn was awful with ds and he was born with soooo much hair haha

Lots of rennies, Peptac if you can stomach it (I can't!), peppermint tea and also milk helped me

I remember phoning round all the 24hr garages within 25miles in the middle of the night when I ran out of peppermint tea bags and waking my dp to get them 🫣

I did with both of mine, only normal amount of hair though! The heartburn disappeared as soon as they were born which felt amazing, was so fed up of it by the end!

Yep I had it really bad. I got omeprazole from the supermarket and it did help most if the time. I knew with me it was way worse with sugary food but I didn't have the willpower to stop eating it.

@Sofaz34 I feel like its anything I eat at the moment. But I am avoiding spicy food as my tolerance has dropped. But I just love a tika masala 😭😭😭

I (thankfully) only ended up with bad heartburn & indigestion in the last couple of months of my last pregnancy (managed with rennies & gaviscon). He had a whack of hair. This time feels worse and I'm convinced I saw a hairy head on my scan last week (36 weeks) so fingers crossed for us both!!

I had horrible indigestion from 20wks plus where it felt like I had hot volcanic lava brewing inside me but dd came out with some hair.

I thought I was genuinely dying the other night! I’m going through pints of gaviscon like there’s no tomorrow. 38+1 now so praying the end is in sight. So done with burping everything I eat and drink back up!
