How to track movements with Twins?

I am currently 24 weeks pregnant with Di/Di fraternal twins. I started feeling movements from my little ones at approx 15/16 weeks and they became regular by 18 weeks. At my 20 week scan, the twins were lying on fairly separate sides of my uterus and thus for a few weeks after that, whenever I felt movements, I was mostly able to tell which one was moving, only central movements being harder to tell. At my last scan a few days ago, it showed that my babies had shifted to being almost on top of each other in a central position so when I am feeling movements now, I have no idea which one is moving and it's stressing me out - how am I supposed to keep track of them?!?! Any twin mummies/parents experienced this? How did you manage?

Hey 👋 if you run an ice cube down the centre of your tummy for a little while it will encourage them to wiggle over to the sides again, eventually there won’t be enough room for them to move away from the middle, with my twins towards the end of the pregnancy i knew who was who as one was breech n one was head down so if i felt movement higher i knew it was lg (head down) and low down was lb, you will get into tune with who is who aswell as each baby has their own little routine of wakeful wiggles n sleeping xx

Honestly I never even tried. I had MCDA twins. The midwife couldn’t even distinguish heartbeats. The hospital were a bit🤦 and suggested she didn’t try unless there were two midwives with two Dopplers to avoid me having to go for unnecessary monitoring. I was scanned every fortnight from 12 weeks though so they were being checked. Every other week with midwife for wee/ blood pressure.

I think the only time I knew for sure they were both ok when pregnant was when they both got hiccups at the same time and the hiccups were coming from different places ☺️
