Hi all
Looking for some reassurance
I'm 11+1, randomly yesterday afternoon I felt a bit crampy and when I went for a wee I noticed blood and I then had to use a pad and from 6-9 it was on and off bleeding bit like a period and on and off cramping, blood was bright red, no clots, no smell, stopped about 9pm, went to a&e they were useless tbh. Did a cervical check and high vaginal swab, cervix didn't show any open bleeds so they said wouldn't treat as urgent and to come back for scan in 5 days, which is awful. I've booked for a private one today anyway but just wondered if anyone has had a similar experience where baby is ok and any ideas what this could have been? TIA x

Hi, no experience but I just wanted to say I’m sorry you’re going through this. I’m 11 weeks too and had bleeding earlier on. In my last pregnancy I had it a couple of times and it is terrifying, so I really feel for you. Hope you have a good outcome today xx

I had something very similar and was convinced I was miscarrying. In my case all was well and they couldn't find any reason for it.
Good luck Flowers

I was hospitalised with bleed at 23 weeks with second pregnancy. No explanation was found but they were somehow able to test and determine that the blood was coming from “me” and not the baby/placenta if that makes sense.
he was born healthy at full term.

With my first pregnancy I had small bleeds and almost constant brown sludge. Again, healthy baby - little jaundice but nothing else, 10 days over term.

I think some mums are just prone to bleeds. All the best.

Thank you everyone that's very helpful and reassuring
So we went for a private scan today and the baby was moving, sonographer said all looked well, they couldn't see any bleeding or cause for concern. So I've no idea why there was a bleed.
Sometimes they don't know the cause I have seen some of you say? I wonder if it'll anything cervical?
