didnt you post this other day?have you seen gp yet?

Wisteria · 02/04/2008 15:20

NJ - maybe go to the GP? I know sometimes after a MC the body continues to act like it's pregnant still for a while but your MC was a while ago now.

NatalieJane · 02/04/2008 15:20

Yep, posted a few times now, seeing GP tomorrow (first day I can get there) but I am losing the will to live now!

I had same thing the month before I did conceive - my period was over 2 weeks late and also had multiple BFNs until period did start. No idea why and never happened before or since (although haven't actually had a period since as hve been pregnant or breast feeding ever since April 2005)

NatalieJane · 02/04/2008 15:21

Wisteria, yes MC was in January, belly had gone right back down to normal, had normal periods etc. in the mean time, don't really think it has anything to do with the MC.

Flex, did you see the GP? What did she do/say?

OP posts:
fleximum · 02/04/2008 15:28

Didn't see gp (dh and I are both medics and I certainly have that typical doctor thing of only seeing GP when they can tell me something I can't tell myself). I would have if I had been a whole month late but just sat and worried and kept doing tests for 2 weeks until period started.

NatalieJane · 02/04/2008 15:28

So what did you think the belly was?

OP posts:
fleximum · 02/04/2008 15:32

I didn't really think about it at the time. Seemed the least of my worries when period was nearly 2 weeks late.

NatalieJane · 02/04/2008 15:35

Was your belly as big as mine is?

Was the baby you concieved the next month your first?

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 02/04/2008 15:35

Sorry for all the questions I am warding off thoughts of testing again today!!

OP posts:
belgo · 02/04/2008 15:37

is it simply water retention? do you feel bloated? Any pain, wind?

Wisteria · 02/04/2008 15:38

Why don't you just go to the docs NJ? I don't understand...

belgo · 02/04/2008 15:39

she's seeing GP tomorrow

fleximum · 02/04/2008 15:39

Don't want to sound rude but no, my belly wasn't that big. It is now though after 2 children! The baby I conceived was my first.

rosybud · 02/04/2008 15:42

Hi NJ, i have seen a few of your posts, you are obviously worried.

Could it be an allergy causing bloating? Tummy bug? Water retention? If your period is late it could be causing extra premenstrual bloating?

Hope the gp can give you an answer tomorrow.

NatalieJane · 02/04/2008 15:42

Don't feel bloated, no wind, no pain, been like this for the best part of two weeks now.

I am going to the doctors tomorrow, I was hoping to go today (as in the day my period would have been 'officially' late) but then we had British Gas out to the boiler. You can only get afternoon appointment's at the GP's, I don't drive, and I have to be at school at 3 o'clock to pick DS1 up, I find it almost impossible to get to the doctors for myself, but DH is off work tomorrow afternoon so I am going tomorrow.

It's OK Flex, I wouldn't have taken it rudely, I asked the question after all!!

NatalieJane · 02/04/2008 15:45

Hi Rosy

I don't think it is an allergy, I don't have any allergies already, nothing obviously wrong with my tummy, period was only due yesterday, have had a big tummy now for nearly two weeks, getting bigger and harder every day, so I don't think it is extra bloating from late period.

Grrrr I feel like hitting my head against a brick wall, and can easily see the doctor fobbing me off tomorrow.

NatalieJane · 02/04/2008 15:46

Tut, I feel like I'm hitting my head..... I really don't actually want to hit my head on a wall!

cheesesarnie · 02/04/2008 15:54

hope doctors have some clues for you tomorrow.

sorkycake · 02/04/2008 15:57

ask for a blood test to rule in/out pg NJ

Flight · 02/04/2008 15:59

Well looking at the picture, you do look kind of pregnant - however my sister often looks like this, and has never had a baby and is married to another woman

I hope you do manage to get that BFP very soon, even if you're not pg right now x

NatalieJane · 02/04/2008 16:09

Thanks all

I am going to try and ask for a blood test Sorky, but I am not very good at being forthcoming with doctors, I often feel like if I say something like that they will think, that I think I know their job better than them IYKWIM? Am hoping it doesn't tie in with the time DH will have to come back and get DS1, so that he can ask for me, he is much better at these things!

LOL about your sister Flight Though I must say the only time my belly looks like this is when I am pregnant, well at least every other time it has looked like this I have been pregnant!

Do you know, this is the third time we have been TTC'ing, you'd have thought I'd have grown up got used to it by now wouldn't you?!!!

OP posts:
sorkycake · 02/04/2008 16:14

NEVER, each time ttc brings fresh worries and little memory of the previous month, nevermind previous pg!

Just tell him you do feel pg, similar with the last ones, and would a blood test help to clarify things for you. He'll probably say yes rather than argue the toss over bloods, plus it'll look like he's doing something about your prob too

Hope everything goes okay tomorrow x
