14-15dpo progression worries

Hi everyone,
I had a faint positive on 9dpo and it has continued to darken however I am now 15dpo and there doesn’t appear to have been any progress since yesterday (see bottom 2 tests). I know hcg doubles every 2/3 days but it’s the first day I’ve not had a darker line than the day before. Just so terrified of a 4th miscarriage. I have a daughter who was born before my unexplained losses, and I only tested once with that pregnancy and the others have always been fainter than what I’ve had this time. So I really had high hopes until now.
Has anybody else had similar looking lines at 14/15 dpo?
Thank you xx

My line at 14 dpo wasn’t that dark and I’m 18 weeks now. Honestly please stop testing, it makes no difference to the outcome. The lines when I had a MC were the same as my current pregnancy.

Thank you so much, and congratulations on your pregnancy ❤️

the reason I am testing is I am on cyclogest so if I am headed for another M/C then I would need to stop taking it.

@KatieHallie I completely understand why you're checking line progression, I was the same with my tests as I'm on progesterone too.

Once the lines got dark and I couldn't see a difference, I ordered 2 hcg blood tests to check whether the levels were doubling. Then once I got high enough levels for a scan, 6ish weeks for me, to confirm viability.

What was interesting though, was tests has gotten slightly lighter and I thought the worst, but it ended up levels were v high (hook effect). So you're probably best going with hcg blood tests and/or scans x

You need to compare every 48 hours. I didn’t see much difference (on mine) on a 24 hour basis but the difference over 48 hours was unmistakable. Also, don’t compare them dry, compare them wet (at five minutes) then compare the two photos. All looks good to me 😊

You can’t get this answer from pregnancy tests, they are not designed for it, there’s too many variables.

If you’re on Cyclogest then presumably you have access to a doctor. Get your hCG bloods done a couple of days apart and that will tell you if all is progressing as it should be.

there's massive line progression. i can also say at that 4 weeks my line was about as dark as your 4th one up. i'm nearly 27 weeks

Alloveragain3 · 03/05/2024 14:15

Your line progression is perfect OP. Congratulations!

I was testing like a mad woman with DC 2 as I'd had a mmc previously. Some days, tests seemed lighter than before and I was incredibly anxious. She's now 5 months old and napping beside me! If I could go back in time, I'd save myself the anxiety and cost of doing pregnancy costs every day (sometimes multiple times a day).
If you have to test for medical reasons, maybe best to test every 48 hours?

KatieHallie · 03/05/2024 14:17

Thank you so much, sometimes you just need somebody to relate to. I will look into these blood tests and you bet I will be booking a scan as soon as possible (if I get that far).

Pregnancy after loss and pregnancy in general is so tough especially when you are a massive over-analyser!

Wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies ❤️🙏🏼

I had exactly this on the easy at homes where my test didn’t darken from 12 to 14DPO! I spent the day crying my eyes out thinking I was heading for another chemical. But the next day it was a little darker and when I tested with a FRER at 16DPO it was a dye stealer! It made me not want to use easy at homes because they do take longer to progress than other brands and it adds lots of stress. I’m now 23 weeks 🙏 and my lines also looked like yours at this stage. Wishing you the best of luck, things are looking good!

Lily1990 · 03/05/2024 22:15

I also had 5 losses before this pregnancy (4 early on) so totally understand your anxiety and need to test to see if it’s progressing. x

KatieHallie · 04/05/2024 06:35

@Lily1990 ahh I’m truly so sorry to hear it, it’s so hard to deal with and makes you think the worst all the time which is so draining. I have never known anxiety like it. You are so brave and one day soon you’ll see the reason you never gave up 🥰

Thank you for sharing, and noted re the easy@home tests! It’s a little darker this morning what a relief. Going to try clear blue today too. I know good lines don’t guarantee anything but we just need a little reassurance day by day to get through these tough weeks! All the best my lovely xx

Thank you so much@KatieHallie ❤️ it really is so hard, dealing with the anxiety mixed with glimmers of hope that you don’t dare to hold onto! I’m so glad your test was a little darker today, and good idea to try another brand. Completely agree you need reassurance to get through these tough weeks! Keeping everything crossed for you and this little bean! xx

Skyr1 · 09/06/2024 14:55

@KatieHallie how did you get on!? I'm currently in a similar situation.

KatieHallie · 09/06/2024 15:49

Hi lovely, don’t panic, the following day it was bolder again and I learnt that it’s the difference between 2 days that counts, even then the tests are not reliable. Now 9 weeks and a scan at 7 showed everything was fine. I did continue testing until the scan (not sure why) but the tests darkened until they were maxed out. Just hoping and praying the 12 week scan will be ok now and wishing the same to you 🙏🏼❤️

@KatieHallie thanks. I am trying not to worry but also trying to be realistic. I have had 3 losses, and this is my 3rd consecutive pregnancy between bleeds. My 14dpo doesn't feel dark enough and I also don't have any symptoms / or sore boobs so would only know I'm pregnant by testing. I know it's still early so trying to just get through the next few days.

KatieHallie · 10/06/2024 19:57

@Skyr1 I’m so sorry to hear, it’s so tough 🥺completely understand as I have also had 3 consecutive losses and now am tuned to automatically think the worst. I didn’t have any symptoms until at least 6/7 weeks.
Really hope this is the one for you 🙏🏼it's so annoying that all we can do is wait and see.
