I only started to get little flutters over the last week or so, I had midwife a week today and heard the heartbeat.
I haven't felt anything today or yesterday.
Dh thinks I should call the midwife but I'm only 17 weeks, is it normal for flutters to come and go?

Absolutely! Flutters will depend on where your baby is in the womb as to whether you can feel it. Regular monitoring shouldn't take place until 20-24 weeks when movement becomes more regular.

By all means if you're worried phone the assessment unit, but it's perfectly normal at this stage for flutters to come and go.

I've had the same I'm 17 weeks nearly 18. MW told me it's very common to feel something one day and not the next, at this stage. She said it's past 24 week you expect to see a pattern/more regular movement. I'm not even sure if I've felt anything!

My flutters were very intermittent up until around 24 weeks. Midwife said the feeling of them can be affected by loads of things including your height and weight and position of both the placenta and baby. I don’t think I felt anything at all at 17 weeks so try not to worry.(I know that’s easier said than done)
