Full and bloated early pregnancy, normal?

I feel so extremely full and bloated all the time, even on waking up in the morning. I'm 6+3 weeks and this is my second pregnancy and I can't remember having this in my first pregnancy.
Is this normal? Does or did anyone feel the same in early pregnancy?

Was very normal for me! I felt so big and swollen in first trimester, then hit 12/13 weeks and it all went!

TheGirlWhoLived · 02/05/2024 10:35

Yeah with second and even worse with third. I think your body is a bit like “buckle up buttercup” and goes into bloat mode straight away. I looked as big at 20 weeks with my third as I did full term with my first. It’ll probably level out second trimester

Oh gosh, so happy to hear you say this. Just this morning I was telling DP that I looked 3 months pregnant, while I'm only at 5 weeks. 2nd pregnancies are wild!

Thanks for the positive reassurance guys

So glad to hear that it's normal!
It's crazy, I feel massive already 😂

Just wanted to jump on and say I’m 6+3 days today also 😊 I seem to bloat throughout the day and by evening I feel so big I can’t stand anything touching my belly!

This is my second also, but I had my first during lockdown so this is the first time I’m pregnant and having to navigate being out in the world too! Much easier when I could just work from home and not have to deal with people lol.

Congratulations!
I feel the same too, by evening I just feel so bloated.
My first was also in lockdown so this time it's going to be a totally new experience.
How are you feeling? ☺️

Yes same here

Bloating was my first symptom in my first pregnancy. I remember it was July and I had a pretty summer skirt on and complaining that it was too tight.

2nd pregnancy I looked ready to give birth as soon as I'd eaten anything. It was wild!

I'm 5w 3 days and I feel bloated also! My jeans band and bra are really annoying me and I feel super focused on it 🤣

The nausea has kicked in now and I’m so tired all the time. Everything I had so conveniently forgotten from the last time round is flooding back in 😬 I keep going ‘oh yeah, I forgot about the hypersensitive smell/sore nipples/intense fatigue.’

It’s so different with a toddler running around and not being able to just chill on the sofa!

Sunshineandbubbles · 04/05/2024 10:14

@OceanSunday Oh the sore nipples!! 😖
And the nausea all day. And I've gone off coffee all together even decaf, which is annoying 😖

Oh tell me about it, it's very different this time round. I'm totally wiped out by bedtime. But all exciting just the same!

Weeks 6-10 the bloat is unreal. Later you will not feel bloated, just fat and you’ll be constantly farting.
