Cyclogest Progesterone and Green Poop

Sorry for TMI.

Inserted my first Cyclogest pessary last night before bed, vaginally.

Had almost instant cramps which turned into gas like cramps and the most awful wind.

Woke up this morning and when I went to the loo my poo was green, not even slightly green but nappy like green.

Will phone GP but wondered if this is a normal reaction?

Sorry OP, I've not had this happen personally. Have you checked the list of side effects on the leaflets that comes with the progesterone?

It might just be a coincidence and nothing to do with the progesterone. Did you eat a lot of spinach or greens in the last few days?

@OnNaturesCourse I didn't experience green poop but did have severe gastrointestinal and digestive issues from cyclogest ranging from severe cramps to constipation and diarrhoea. I do think that they mess with your bowls a bit so try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know!)

Thanks both - appreciate the responses.

EPU says it can cause gut issues but my consultant has never heard of it giving you green poop. Been told not to worry unless in agony pain or I get the runs with the colour, it could be my body adjusting to the hormones.

Been again today and same thing, normal but green... Very odd.
