Very stressed around due date

My baby is due tomorrow and I'm really struggling not to sweat the small stuff. I feel very tense and am getting upset and angry about small things like noise from next-door, bad customer service, and some builders who have damaged my car. I'm sure all this stress isn't good for the baby but for some reason I just can't relax even though I'm usually a chilled person. I don't want baby to be born to a stressed and angry environment! Any advice to help?

First of all...
Baby probably won't arrive tomorrow. They don't usually come on their due date.
Secondly you're going to be more stressed in labour and after birth, like most women, so baby will be ok.
I think you're just stressed and worried about becoming a mum so it's making you act like this. Talk to people about it and do some hypnobirthing to calm you down a bit.
Good luck xx

Don't think of it as a due date, only a small % of babies arrive on that date, it's a due period of time. Baby won't be affected by your stress but stress affects your body physically. Can you get out the house, go outside, see a friend for a rant?

Don’t worry too much - completely normal to feel this way! After months of lack of sleep, feeling uncomfortable, raging hormones, sickness, muscular pain and general anxiety about the baby/giving birth by the end of it I am usually a big grumpy mess that no one wants around.

By the end when I have the baby my partner usually breathes a sigh of relief.

Thank you all! I took the advice and went and saw a friend today and listened to a Hypnobirthing meditation. The grump levels have definitely gone down!

Also don’t be too hard on yourself! Hormones are probably going wild! I’m the same, 36 weeks and usually a pretty chilled person but nearly cried with anger when a midwife cancelled an appointment this morning 😂 I kept saying to myself, ‘calm down because this isn’t you’.
