High risk pathway due to previous Pre-E and FGR - experiences?

So I'm 9 weeks pregnant with baby 2 and have been designated high risk due to previously having Pre-eclampsia (not picked up until mid-labour) and growth restriction (not identified until 40weeks pregnant!). Plus a few other birth complications like haemorrhage, foetal distress during labour etc.

I'm also having a maternal request c-section due to trauma from all of the above. I had a precipitate labour that lasted 1hr45 from start to finish with no pain relief, plus all those complications. No WAY am I doing that again and I'm now terrified of labour. Luckily my midwife completely agreed and understood without question.

My question is - has anyone else here been through the higher risk pathway due to previous pre-eclampsia or foetal growth restriction? What can I expect from here except extra scans? What were your experiences of being high risk for second or other pregnancies?

I was very low risk for my whole pregnancy right till the end last time, so had a completely stress-free time full of hypnobirthing research, meditation and being generally very zen. Now I'm trying to parent a 14 month old and trying to get my head around how much will be different this time.

Extra growth scans will be offered and perhaps a couple of consultant appointments post 24 weeks. If BP is creeping up / growth slowing, you’ll continue to be seen by a consultant I’ve had PE three times but all were prem. Everyone knew what was happening the third time.

Me. Im 36 weeks now. Classed high risk, on asprin, extra growth scans, last pregnancy pre-eclampsia, baby small, born premature, it was a disaster whole way through. But now this pregnancy, down to low risk and allowed a water birth in a birth centre. This pregnancy complete opposite. You might find after a few growth scans things are completely different this time :)
