Hi everyone
I'm 32 year old and this is my firs pregnancy everything was going ok till I had my 11 week follow up yesterday..
It was with ambulatory medicine to measure the NT and it came back 3.3mm with the fluid extending under the skin of the baby’s head, neck and back.
When the doctor saw that she didn’t check for any other markers she said your baby definitely have a genetic or inherited condition and she is not normal and I may lose the baby the next few weeks. In her initial report she wrote “there are no gross abnormalities”.
She was sure that the baby 100% not normal and have either Down syndrome or Edward syndrome.
I did NIPT test and scheduled amniocentesis 3 weeks from now when the test results came back.
I can’t stop crying and I didn’t eat since yesterday because I feel sick on my stomach I could through up.
Anyone had a similar experience and the baby turned up ok and in perfect health or it’s a done deal for my baby?

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’ve not been through this and can’t give any advice, but if you post this in the ‘Antenatal Tests’ thread, there will be lots of people who have more experience and advice with NT measurements and amnio testing.

Wishing you all the best xx
