Has anyone planned or been on a babymoon? We booked an amazing holiday two weeks before I found out I was pregnant, I will be 20 weeks by the time it comes round and I just don't feel comfortable doing that trip - a transatlantic cruise. I had a TFMR at the end of last year, I'm 39, and I just feel it's too risky to go out into the Atlantic, away from a hospital, for 6 nights.

I still really want to do something though, this was our joint 40th trip and we already cancelled one as that was when I had my TFMR. Not having much luck but a healthy baby would be better than any holiday.

Any suggestions on places to go? If you've been away at 20 weeks, how did you feel?

We get a lot of people on babymoons at our shepherds hut. There really are some fantastic luxury ones in the UK.

Or how about a really luxurious hotel, eg Carbis Bay, Scarlett Hotel, Talland Bay Hotel with a sea view? It feels like you're abroad when you have amazing view.

I went to Jamaica when I was 23 weeks and felt fabulous, I only had a couple of months inbetween being sick and very tired and tired and massive so it worked out well. It was my second baby and I had never experienced a loss of a scare before.

I went to Herakleion in Crete at 24w. They have one of Greece's best hospitals there so I felt safe knowing if something happened medical care would be close at hand. I was nervous about travelling owing to some pregnancy complications and previous losses, but I am SO glad I got one last trip with DH before our gorgeous rainbow baby arrived

We stayed in the UK but went to a very fancy hotel for a long weekend. We did also travel to France at about 28 weeks but that was with family, to our family home and where we knew all the local medical facilities.

We did Tui Blu Meltemi in Santorini for ours. Had a gorgeous room with a private pool, right on the beach and loads of restaurants. Loved it!

We went for a tour of the Outer Hebrides - it was lovely. Quite chilled out and relaxed, lots of fresh air. We even ended up staying at a b and b owned by an ex midwife!
