I'm looking at baby wraps/carriers and came across the caboo lite, just wondering if anyone has this and recommends it? Thanks

I liked it. Look at baby wearing group on Facebook or look for local sling library ( or online). I hired first to make sure it was right for me.

I used one of these with DS which my sister in law gave me as she hadn’t got on with it.
It was brilliant when he was small. We would have been lost without it as he was a baby who liked to be held. It was a little tricky to get the hang of so the first few times we used it we had to refer to videos on YouTube.
I loved that it folded down relatively small into its own pouch so could be easily shoved under the pram when we went out.
It was soft and comfy to wear and DS seemed cosy and comfortable in it. It was easy to wash when he occasionally vommed down it too.

However, every baby and parent is different. We got lucky as we were given this and a BabyBjorn one and got on with both of them. If there’s a sling library near you it would be a good idea to give one a go before buying if you haven’t tried it already.

I have the Close Caboo and I love it. Caboo lite is the smaller version of the one I have. It’s essentially a pre made wrap and newborn DS was very content being in it. He’s now 5 months and starting to be too big for it, but even now it holds him close to me and he’s content. Having a toddler, I needed to do a lot of baby wearing and it was very comfy and easy to use.

Only point is the Caboo brand has now closed down, from November last year. You may still find some being sold online by various baby shops. I bought mine in December so you might have some luck.

I like mine, my baby is now 3 months and I'm comfortable carrying him in it still. I practiced with a doll when I was pregnant so I'm pretty good with getting it on and off alone and without a mirror. I probably won't use it past six months though, you can only use it with baby facing into your chest (exactly what a little one should do) but when he's older and curious about the world I'll get a more structured carrier that I can wear with him facing forward.

I really liked the caboo for the newborn stage. Agree with pp that it took a few goes to get things right. Do look at sling libraries as they can also help with a fit check, etc. Would recommend. You can often find them second hand and are easy to resell.

Once baby is a bit older, I preferred my Connecta carrier (or Integra), as it was quicker to put on and felt more secure with a heavier baby.

I bought the Caboo lite and used it from about 4-5 weeks old (he was born 5 weeks early so pretty much like a newborn size) until he was about 4 months old. I loved it and it worked really well for us, especially using it daily. It was during the summer and I got a bit sweaty but to be honest I think I got sweaty with multiple carriers that I tried. It got better in autumn with the cooler weather.

Then I switched to a more structured carrier due to my back hurting at a certain point. We tried the eegobaby 360 from a sling library, and then I bought a Ergobaby breeze. I loved both the caboo in the early days and then the Ergobaby for 4m until 1yr old. Now we have just switched to an Osprey poco because he’s so heavy. I struggle to carry him now though in any carrier, I mostly opt for the pushchair and dh uses the poco more than I do. I think I may have a weaker back since pregnancy in general though.
