Morning all. I'm on day 2 recovering from thyroidectomy (left side removed). Hubby and I have been TTC our first for 2 years with 5 losses. I tested negative the days leading up to my surgery (9dpo-11dpo). I made my anesthetic team aware that I may be pregnant, but too early to tell. In previous pregnancy I had a faint positive by 10 or 11dpo so I was fairly certain I wasn't pregnant.
Surgery went well and was discharged yesterday with paracetamol and dihydrocodeine. I tested as soon as I got home and the test immediately showed a line within a minute. Faint but definitely positive.
So now of course I'm all kinds of worried about the general anesthetic from the surgery. I was given progesterone with my last miscarriage and have started taking it, but Dr Google is filling me with dread. Does anyone have any positive pregnancy stories about GA in really early pregnancy? I'm 4w+1 today and if this pregnancy sticks, I really don't want to be as anxious as I am right now for the next 30+ weeks.
