27 weeks period like cramps

I've been having what feels like period cramps for 3 days now. The cramping has been making me go to the toilet about 3 times a day, my genitals feel swollen and overall I'm just feeling tender.
The cramps are constant, whether I'm sitting, standing or walking.
Bubs is moving the same amount, maybe a little lower than before so not worried about that.
I wanna know if any other pregnant mamas have experienced this and what it turned out to be as I'm super nervous at hospitals and I don't want to have to go if I don't need to.

I have a midwife appointment and an ultrasound scheduled for next Friday, so could bring it up then if I don't need to sooner.

Oh forgot to mention, it feels like I've got trapped wind all the time too! Hoping it's all just bad gas but feels too much like period cramps

3 days is quite a long time, I think you should call the hospital just in case.
I did have cramping around 29 weeks (trapped wind) and had a few days earlier two (32 weeks), which I believe was stretching pain.
So it's probably nothing to worry about, but I don't think you should wait until next Friday.
