34 weeks - feel like labour is near

I feel so strange like I just have this feeling that labour is very close. So my cervix started shortening quite a while ago, it’s now SUPER soft and mushy and can easily fit a finger in would probably be able to fit 2 (I have had a baby before), fairly high but obviously in reach! Been loosing yellow mucus for the past week and have a huge increase in discharge. Since last night I have been to the toilet 6 times with very loose stools even though my whole pregnancy I’ve been constipated! Braxton hicks have gotten way more regular the past couple of days with low back ache and period type cramps on and off. Also feel pretty nauseous and lots of pressure down below. Felt the urge to sort ALL of babies stuff yesterday and I’m glad I have because I honestly just have this really weird gut feeling. Has anyone else felt similar and gone into labour? Obviously it’s way too early so I’m kind of worried but my sisters baby was born at 34 weeks and was perfectly fine 🤞🏼

It sounds as if you are in the early stages of labour. You should phone your midwife or at least 111.

I’m 36+5 and been feeling like this for the past week and a half. I saw my midwife yesterday and my baby is engaged. Didn’t do a vaginal exam but I also feel like my cervix is starting to dilate. Midwife thinks I could go in to active labour next week so do get checked out.
