HCG left 8.5 weeks post partum?

Forgive me if you read my last message..

I'm 8.5 weeks post partum (c section) and have had unprotected sex with my partner 3 times since 6 weeks post partum,

I've taken a few frers over the last few days ( since Monday ) and they are all showing the same faint line ( see pic)

Superdrug tests are showing nothing.. Anyone know if this could this be left over HCG from last pregnancy 8.5 weeks later?

There’s a reason midwives really hammer home the contraceptive chat postpartum. I’d be surprised if that’s leftover hcg from your recent pregnancy, it’s more likely this is a new pregnancy tbh.

Highly unlikely. As per pp, there is a reason they go on about contraception!! It could be an indent as isn't strong and doesn't have much colour. Test again in a few days and you'll know.

After the birth of my first baby, I was preparing to leave the hospital, but the Midwife pretty much made me listen to how contraception was super important (should I suddenly be sexually active so soon) ... "you've just kickstarted your fertility" was her exact words ...

Wait 4 days and then test again.

I don't know about left over hcg but my sister is a midwife and she had a lady who gave birth when she had an 11 month old so it is possible to get pregnant that quickly

I think this would most likely be a new pregnancy x

No idea what happened.. I got my period a couple of days later.. so could have been chemical? Xx 😐

FRERs have been withdrawn from high street sale because of these fake second lines - they’re actually visible straight out of the pack. I would only ever use Easy@Home strips these days.
