I am currently 34 weeks pregnant. At my 32wk midwife appointment I was referred for a growth scan due to fundal height measurement dropping from 97th centile to 90th. I have had 2 scans now and the estimated weight of baby is increasing as expected but on the 10th centile. However I have now been referred for a 3rd scan and to the consultant in a further 2 weeks due to the femur length dropping below the 10th centile? Should i be concerned? 🙈
I should add that I myself am only 5ft so surely it is not unlikely that baby will also be short? My previous babies were 7lb13 and 8lb6 at birth and never required any extra scans or monitor.
I am interested to know if anyone else has been in this situation and what was the outcome?
I am seeing the midwife on Friday anyway so will obviously discuss this with them but just looking for some reasurrance and some insight what to expect xx

In all fairness the growth scans most of the time are a joke and make parents worry unnecessarily. A scan can be arranged simply because baby is lower than there predicted charts or even higher. After our first 2 I refused them on the next ones all babies happy and healthy and not one was even near there supposed prediction all bigger and straightforward births. But these days if baby doesn't confirm to the chart then off to a scan. Btw not talking about health problems different scenario baby does need scanned just the general growing charts etc waste of time for us

I had growth scans with my last pregnancy because fundal height was big (I blame my extra belly fat but the midwife worded it a lot nicer on the referral 🤣)

The predicted birth weight was way off.
But the extra scans were nice, got to see baby every couple of weeks so I didn’t mind.
