I can't sleep on my side

Hi, I'm currently 21 weeks and usually sleep on my front but baby has different plans. I know its bad to sleep on your back because of the aorta being compressed but I genuinely can't sleep on my side. I can't get comfortable and it's miserable, I'm really struggling to get a decent nights sleep and it would be great to get some advice :(

thanks in advance <3

Pregnancy pillow. You will need to sleep on your side by third trimester. I liked U shaped so got Kally sleep which I loved. There's smaller ones, ones with a bit for between your knees, hugging ones etc.

Like PP says I can stress you NEED a pregnancy pillow you won’t be able to sleep on your back as you progress the pressure is too much and as well as being bad for baby it’s too uncomfortable anyway

Biggest and best pregnancy pillow you can possibly afford.

Echo the pregnancy pillow - I'm a front sleeper too and managed to sort of position one hip facing down instead of fully to the side with my bump being supported by the pregnancy pillow. My hips were in agony when on my side.

My hips are too sore even with the pillow so I sleep in a sitting position. It’s the only way I can manage and my midwife has said it’s fine as I’m not flat so not trapping the vein.

As others have said its important to find a way. Pregnancy pillows didn't work for me though, I ended up with about 6 regular ones propped up around me like a pillow fort 😂 I found I could adjust them better as needed and cheaper too!

I slept sort of reclining sitting up as my hips were too sore laying on my side
