13DPO - chemical pregnancy?

Hello,

I suffered a miscarriage in January so I'm very anxious and worried!
I've tested positive at 11dpo on both clear blue ultra early and cheapy tests which were fairly faint on that day (the 2nd picture). I tested positive 3 days before my period is due (due tomorrow). Is testing positive before your period a worrying sign?
Also, is this line looking strong on the first picture? This was taken today at 13DPO. Would you expect it to be lighter with potential chemical?

Thanks everyone!

They both look positive! But I understand the anxiety after you had a loss. When’s AF due?

Yellowtulip96 · 20/04/2024 16:50

@Beginningless AF due tomorrow! X

Oh I’ve just realised the first pic is today! Everything definitely looks in order! Congratulations!

That looks like a good line and there’s been progression so I wouldn’t worry.

Thank you both!! @Beginningless @MaybeBaby2024

I’m confused on which one is today and which was 11dpo as the first pic of the frer says 18/04 on it which was 2 days ago?

Either way the line on the frer looks great for 13dpo. You can’t really tell from one test if it may be a chemical though as a chemical can happen up to 6 weeks. It’s more about lines getting lighter after AF is due could show a chemical.

I know how hard it is and how you will analyse every test. I had 2 chemicals (both at 6 weeks) in a row. The first time I took loads of tests and tortured myself with wondering but the second time I bought one 2 pack of tests and did one the day after AF due then another 3 days later and the line was lighter so I knew what was about to happen. I did get pregnant again the cycle after these and she’s now 8 months tomorrow.

The line looks great, there’s nothing to suggest at the moment that this won’t be a viable pregnancy. I know how hard it is but you’re pregnant today and there’s every chance this baby will be fine 😊

@allgoodthings84 ah yes I can see the confusion! The first response test was the one today (13dpo) just says 18.4 as that's the date we found out and will be keeping this test as a keep sake!

Its so hard isn't it not to over analyse everything! I don't know whether to do one mid next week to just see if it's got lighter or to just leave it and let it all be now!

@Yellowtulip96 ahhh got you. I think the line looks great for 13dpo and looks like my viable pregnancy did at 14dpo 😊. I worried throughout my whole pregnancy that something would go wrong. Those CPs ruined the experience of the pregnancy for both me and my partner. My first pregnancy (she’s 9 next month) was so smooth and I had never had a loss before (as far as I’m aware) and it was lovely and I would have loved the excitement again with my partner (different dads) especially as it’s likely to be my partners only child but the losses and fear of another really takes the shine off. Try not to be like me and enjoy it 🥰

I tested positive on early pregnancy test 5 day before period due, I'm now 20 weeks pregnant. The line should get stronger as your hcg rises (tipcally every 48 hours) so your 13dpo is stronger than your 11dpo so to me that looks very much normal, congratulations on your pregnancy!
