I have been having this drink for the last few days.. Is it okay to have? I have heard it can induce labour but I am very early only 9+3 so was wondering if it can do anything in early pregnancy?

I asked this question on another app and they say it’s an energy drink but I don’t think there is caffeine in it? Also I just got this which is now making me worry😖

’I would assume anything that can induce labor can cause contractions which would lead me to believe miscarriage is not out of the question either

If I'd know this induced labour I'd have mainlined it when I was 2 weeks OD and the size of a house 😂

It's not caffeinated but has high levels of glucose for energy - read the back of google to see if ok for pregnancy.

Uhh I keep worrying now as I have had a few😭

Lucozade's FAQs say it's fine.

www.lucozade.com/support/#:~:text=Is%20it%20safe%20to%20drink,200mg%20per%20day%20during%20pregnancy

I also saw a help sheet from West Suffolk NHS recommending lucozade for morning sickness.

So I think you're OK.

Try not to worry too much (I know easier said than done). Pregnancy is made out to be a weird state with all sorts of forbidden food and drinks, but a lot of it is old wives tales. (Obvious exception for smoking and binge drinking)

Thank you so much. It’s so confusing seeing all these different things! I have my first midwife appointment on Friday which I guess will be my ‘booking in’ appointment . Are you able to ask questions like this in those appointments?

You are getting confused with Raspberry Leaf Tea. Which has to be drunk in massive quantities to have any effect, and may be an old wive's tale.

Sliiim · 16/04/2024 18:29

People definitely said this drink and not raspberry leaf tea

It's just a very sugary drink. It's fine, although probably not a great idea for anyone to drink loads of it .
