BFP a month after miscarriage??

I had a miscarriage last month at 6+2

Started pill afterwards to give me and DP a break before deciding whether to try again but I think I messed up the timings on starting it 🤦🏻‍♀️

woke up this morning with a metallic taste in my mouth and little voice in the back of my head telling me to take a test which was positive, a decent line too

After the miscarriage I tested negative at week 2 and 3

This is a new pregnancy isn’t it? What do I do next?

I would have thought if it was retained products I would have had symptoms and not have had negative tests? My head is scrambled right now

If you had negative tests since the MC, it seems very likely this is a new pregnancy. I'd contact the EPU (via GP if you need to), to confirm? They may want to scan to confirm it is a new pregnancy.

I started spotting and went on to miscarry on the 23rd September and then got a BFP on 31st October. I'm now 28 weeks pregnant so it can happen quickly ☺️

Did you contact EPU or anything if you hadn’t had a period in between?

@AFeastForCrows no I didn't. I had a tiny bit of spotting but not enough to ring EPU, I just kept testing for a few days. When I had my booking appointment they put my LMP as when my miscarriage started but the midwife was happy to put it at a different date (ie a week later or so) if I wanted to.
