Hey ladies, found this is the best place for advice.

I am waiting for Drs to call.

I am just over 18 weeks pregnant. Anterior placenta. The last few days I've been feeling lots of pains, shooting and aches, shooting pains are up my bum and vagina. Aches are around stomach. The tightening is similar to feeling constipated which I'm not, and I get huge bouts of nausea so I go to the toilet thinking I'm going to be sick I urge but bring up phlegm more than actual sick. It feels similar to when you have a stomach bug and that wave of nausea comes over you.

Have any of you experienced this? I called triage who told me to call Drs incase of urine infection and said the nausea I'm describing could actually be baby moving which sometimes does cause nausea?

I have felt the best I have in a long time through this pregnancy but the last few days scared, paranoid and super emotional.

Any advice would be really appreciated x

Hey, also 18 weeks pregnant and also been experiencing the shooting pains you're describing, along with pelvic pressure and just a lot of general uncomfortable feelings the past few days. I called the MAC yesterday who said it sounds completely normal at this point in pregnancy. I also wouldn't worry about nausea, I'm pretty sure it's normal to experience moments of nausea all throughout pregnancy. As for urine infections, I had 3 in first tri so bought some urine sticks from Amazon so I can test at home which I'd recommend, you'd just be looking for leukocytes, nitrites, blood and protein xx

First off congratulations on your pregnancy ☺️ thank you for your reassurance hate being an over anxious moaner lol but you really can't help but worry and I really do feel absolute pants after feeling so good. I just need to remember that it's all signs baby is growing away healthy. Thank you again for your reassurance x

I’m 18 weeks as well and also feeling like this - almost like a stomach bug but without the side effects? And stomach cramps over the last few days which aren’t abating. I’ve called my midwife unit for peace of mind and I’m waiting for them to call me back, but reassuring to hear @minnieot that it’s most likely nothing to worry about!

The pain sounds like round ligament pain, I had loads of it about this point in my
pregnancy as my bump suddenly grew. Does it feel like a stitch?

Congratulations to both of you. It's definitely nice to hear that 3 of us are experiencing similar things at the same point, pregnancy is such a scary time when you don't know what's normal and what isn't xx
