Possible ectopic ? Or early loss

anyone with any experience to share? Got my first positive on the 3rd of April so 10 days ago now and ever since I have been spotting which started off as pink and brown which has eventually turned into bright red but still very very light. I got my first beta hcg on Saturday (yesterday) which came back at 105 which I feel is very low. I think I’ve went down the rabbit hole of a possible ectopic and can’t seem to get it out my head as I’m extremely anxious ! I’m getting another beta done tomorrow at the EPU. I have also had cramping on and off but this is on both sides rather than just one side.

side note I have a history of recurrent miscarriage and my cycles are very long

@Laury95 sorry you're going through this. I absolutely get the anxiety. I had a similar experience last autumn (got a thread somewhere on here). At a similar gestation to you my HCG was just 135. It was repeated 4 days later and had doubled roughly twice to something like 564 which clearly threw the midwife. It was then repeated again 48hrs later and was only around 638. At that point they started talking about possible ectopic and I got really scared. They wanted to check again 48hrs later and if a rise, they were going to give methotrexate. Thankfully at the next test it had started dropping so they said they would repeat bloods and scan me 48hrs later. At the scan, the sonographer couldn't see any sign of a pregnancy in uterus or tubes. She did see that my uterine lining was a bit thickened and she could also see blood flow on it and was surprised I'd not yet experienced any bleeding. Due to the scan and dropping bloods, they didn't give methotrexate but told me to do another pregnancy test in a couple of weeks and go back if still positive. I actually started bleeding that night. In the end it was a relief more than anything as I had got quite scared of possible rupture etc.

That was my third loss in a row last year but to give you some hope... After that loss we stopped tracking and trying as we planned to wait for our referral to the fertility clinic before trying again and this was just before Christmas so thought we'd have a break from all the anxiety. Someone else had other ideas... I'm 23wks tomorrow with our rainbow and hopefully all seems to be going well this time! I must have ovulated late after that last loss and this pregnancy was actually conceived 3 weeks after the MC.

So, all that to say, I've been through similar, including recurring loss, and here I am... There is still hope! In all honesty it doesn't sound like this one will end well for you which I think you know. That being the case, I hope all goes as ok for you as possible, and I also hope that your rainbow is waiting in the wings and makes their way to you very soon 🙏🏼🌈💕

Thank you for this ! I also had a scan yesterday and nothing was visible apart from a slightly thickened lining at the top of my uterus. (Im also on progesterone pessaries)As terrible as it sounds with my experiences I would rather this be a loss and start bleeding soon than having an ectopic.

i also gave birth to my “triple” rainbow last year in may and as I’d had a live birth I was taken off the waiting list for the recurrrent loss consultant but since then I’ve had 2 more losses and this could be a possible 3rd, making 6 in total over 3 years. It’s a struggle but when you have your rainbow at the end you know there is hope 🤞🏻

I’ve had the same with an ectopic. They said the progesterone elevated my hcg so the readings although in their hundreds may not have been accurate. Had the same as a previous poster, lots of scans, not progressing enough to warrant tube removal, but too much to let it dissolve naturally. Had the mexo jabs and it was ok. I hope you don’t have to wait too long, it’s so hard, I’ve also had three losses.
