Blood clot 11 weeks

Hi mums, I've been having a normal pregnancy so far and I've just hit 11+5 weeks. I had a quick external ultrasound 3 hours ago and all seemed well. Now I am home and I've noticed a small blood clot in my underwear and I wiped and some last bits of the blood were there. I have now wiped again an hour later and it's clear. I have no pain or cramps and I've had no form of bleeding prior to this. Should I be seeking urgent care?

Hi, I think it can be common to sometimes get a little bleeding after an internal scan. It's definitely a good sign if it's stopped. You could call epu if you're worried but unless you're bleeding more I personally wouldn't worry especially if scan showed everything was looking good

@NphysT thank you, I actually ended up going to emergency as when I wiped again there were some remnants of the clot. They scanned - can't see anything wrong, checked vagina and cervix and said they couldn't see any blood. They've taken a swab and urine sample, gave me progesterone injection. Said to come back for the more detailed radiology exam. Just find it very strange as to why I passed a clot..

Update: turns out I have a small haematoma which was the reason for the bleed...been told pelvic rest for 2 weeks in the hope it will reabsorb. Fingers crossed!

I've heard that can be common. Hopefully the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly!
