Early labour or stomach bug? 39+6

Hi All,

almost 40 weeks pregnant and I had a episode of vomitting early hours this morning and the 💩’s … I got a back ache also! I was absolutely fine yesterday but the day before that I was sick as a pig but no 💩s.

yesterday I went to get baby checked and all was ok with baby but due to how far I am in pregnancy they did offer induction but I declined as baby is doing ok.

do you think early labour? Stomach bug? I’m debating whether to go up to the assesment unit again today but I know they’ll say about inducing again.

what’s your thoughts? This is my second child :-)

il like to point out I’m not against induction but I’ve made it this far, so I’d like to go natural if I can!

Both my labours started with diarrhoea which apparently is fairly common. The midwife said it's almost like it's your body having a clear out to get ready. Not sure about the sickness though so maybe just make sure you stay hydrated and rest up today. Good luck ❤️

Could be either.
As long as you can keep fluids down and baby is moving well and you have no other concerns then you don’t need to go to the assessment unit.
