I'm 22 weeks pregnant and over the last 10 days I've fainted/felt faint a number of times. On one occasion I couldn't stand up without fainting and had to be taken to A&E. I've had blood tests done and blood pressure readings taken and all have come back normal except for low iron, which i'm going to have an iron injection for. A number of doctors have said that they don't think my iron levels can be the sole cause of the fainting but don't seem to have any other suggestions. One doctor suggested that the baby could be pushing on a nerve which is causing me to faint and I will have to stop any form of exercise until the baby is born.

Its getting to the point where I can't walk for 5 mins without having to stop and sit down due to feeling out of breath and like i'm going to pass out, although i'm normally a very active person.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar and, if so, what ended up being the cause?

Thank you

What was your blood volume ? Might be worth asking as being that out of breath after 5 minutes and fainting could all be a low blood count which would make sense if your low on iron .
