31+2, raised AFI (amniotic fluid amount) and panicking

Hi all. I've worked myself into a bit of a tizz.

Up until now, everything has been very textbook. No issues on scans. GD test at 28 weeks was clear. Baby girl was measuring right on the 50th percentile.

I went for a growth scan today, and my AFI is raised at 30.6. Baby's growth has also suddenly shot up, and she's now an estimated 4lb 2 ounce, whereas at my 28 week scan she was a very normal 2lbs.

I've googled and naturally driven myself crazy, and now worrying she could have some kind of underlying genetic issue or something sinister.

Please tell me your experiences with this, especially if you had a similar afi at this point!

i had polyhydramious in my pregnancy at 32 weeks I was suppose to have scans every 2/52 but only had 1 at 36 weeks was kept on the urgent scan list. I kept being told dd would be a big baby. Born healthy weight 7lb 2 at 41+4 I was told by my friend who is a midwife if I went in labor to get all 4s cross my legs & get my bum up as high as possible! I was induced in the end for a different reason & when my waters broke by dh said was like Niagara Falls. 😂I was freaked out too & was worried about gestational diabetes but was clear off that. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy

Is 4lbs2oz big? DS was born at 31+6 at 4lbs7oz and was completely healthy. They said he was average weight for that gestation.
