NT thickness at 11 weeks

Hi everyone,

Just had my NT scan and I’m freaking out a bit.

I measured at 11 weeks 2 days which is spot on. Sonographer managed to get all measurements.

However I’m now freaking out because the NT measurement was 2.3mm. My son’s was about the same but his scan was at 12w6 now as early as this. On googling it seems that this is high for this gestation. The sonographer said all looked good but I can’t help but worry that there’s something wrong now.

Has anyone else been scanned so early with a similar measurement?

Less than 3.5mm is normal between 11-14 weeks so it's well within the range. The measurement will be used in conjunction with your blood test and age to calculate risk of abnormalities, but so far so good!

Thank you. I had read that but on stupidly going down a google rabbit hole, some studies seemed to say that anything above 2mm is ‘increased’ at 11 weeks gestation! Sonographer also remarked that baby was very ‘chill’ and that’s made me worried too. Don’t get me wrong, baby got annoyed when I wiggled my hips but compared to my son they were quite still! Maybe sleeping?

Suppose I’ll just have to wait for the combined result now. Feels awful!
