Hi I am 7 weeeks pregnant and have a 28 month DS and I'm at home with him full time.
I just want to see if anyone else has suffered with crippling exhaustion? It's affecting my ability to function and go about my day, can barely do anything, it's mad! I feel awful. Any experiences of similar nature or tips would be grateful received
I had a full blood count done when I was 3 weeks pregnant which was all fine, could I already be low in iron maybe? Or maybe it's just a totally different pregnancy and experience! TIA x

Hey OP, congrats on your pregnancy.
I am 8+2 weeks with my second and my first is 26 months so I feel you!
Would you consider picking up a part time job so your little one qualifies for some funded childcare hours?
Honestly I find going to work a breeze compared to looking after my 2yr old (and I do what most would consider a high stress job!).
I am similarly exhausted atm so leaning on my other half to do more with our son when he's not at work, and luckily he gets that I need the rest.

Hi. Same here, I totally underestimated how tiring it would be to be pregnant with a toddler. As @SouthwestSis mentioned, I work 2 days a week and those are my ‘days off’ days. My daughter is 19 months and still naps once a day so I’m taking full advantage of midday naps with her when I can.

Hopefully it eases off for you and you start to feel better as the weeks go on 🤞🏻 definitely has for me at just 10 weeks. Xx

Yep I’m exactly the same (but toddler is 18m)
I am riddledddd with nausea and tiredness.
still BF’ing too which is not helping 😅

I was the same at 7 weeks. I managed to work from home for a few weeks but was doing 3-4 hrs of work only. I just couldn't do more. I felt better from 10 weeks onwards. Now at 19 weeks I feel exhausted again! It's a rollercoaster!

I am 14 weeks and from the minute I wake up until the minute I fall asleep (at 7pm 😂) I am exhausted. Never actually felt tiredness like it… and didn’t have it with my first! I’ve frantically googled when it gets better and unfortunately it can be months x

Tiredness is common but that level of tiredness is more unusual. You may be low in iron, no harm taking a supplement or asking your GP to re run some bloods. My iron levels are impacted a lot by pregnancy and at 3 weeks this wouldn't really have kicked in as the embryo would have only just implanted.
