27 weeks & in agony!

This is my second pregnancy and I suffered with some PGP in my previous one from about 32 weeks onwards. Nothing crazy though!

I'm currently only 27 weeks & attended Mat Assessment the other night with cramping, aches and lower back pain. Satisfied with my bloods, urine & baby's heart tracing I went off home with number for physio self referral.

Since then however, the pain has disappeared from my back. My bump is now excruciating to touch/if I cough or laugh etc. Baby feels super low down (although I've no idea really, just definitely feels like movement is much lower) and I'm now barely able to walk/sit as the pressure and pain down below is unbearable.

Spoke with Mat Assessment again briefly & they reassured me it's likely just a bad flare up of SPD/PGP & to get plenty of rest. (My husband's taken a few days off work because I look after our 2 yo on my own and work part time). Today & yesterday I've been stuck (literally in bed) and can't stay upright.

It feels like, for lack of a better description, baby is going to fall out when I'm standing/sitting. The pressure/pulling is like nothing I've had before.
I desperately don't want to keep bothering the hosp but wondering if I should be pushing for an internal exam in case there's something other than what I've been told going on?

Not sure how I could go another 12 weeks like this, logistically nevermind physically!

Maybe I'm just an absolute wimp? 😂

Didn't want to read and run. Yes I'd push for an assessment to be reassured. Then also see the physio ASAP.

Have you had a feel down there, OP? I felt just like you describe, very early on in my second pregnancy. The pressure/pulling down sensation was unbearable and the SPD was dreadful. On giving myself a bit of a feel, I discovered I had horrendous vaginal varicose veins - nothing anyone could do about it and midwife assured me it was normal. It worried me though and lying down was the only respite I could find. I did try some very tight/supportive girdle type pants which helped a bit.

The good news is it disappeared fairly swiftly after the birth. I still get the drawing/pulling sensation when I’m on my heaviest days of my period though.
