Drop in movement but only 20weeks

Hi all,
I am 20 weeks 4 days. I’ve been feeling movement for about two weeks, initially it felt like just pops of gas in my stomach but progressed to feeling more like movement of my insides. Hard to explain.
yesterday I felt a lot of movement in the morning but nothing really later on. I’ve had the odd light twinge this morning but nothing since.

This is my first baby to get to this stage of pregnancy. Is this just part of the course or does a drop in movement at any stage mean you should get checked?

thanks

Honestly OP don’t worry. At 20 weeks it’s completely normal to feel no movement at all. You are still very early and babies don’t settle into a regular pattern of movement until 28+ weeks, and the CTG monitoring (which triage do for reduced movements) actually can’t even be done until 26+ weeks because the baby is simply too small! Try not to worry x

Thanks @Mrsttcno1
I have had 3 missed miscarriages prior to this which makes me anxious. I don’t think I will feel ok until I can feel regular movement.

It is such an anxious time @HashB but just hang in there. One day soon you will be lying in bed being kicked in the ribs by baby and you’ll almost miss the times when the kicks were just little flutters! X

regular movement isn’t expected until around 28 weeks. I wasn’t feeling it everyday even at 27 weeks. It is really hard but try not to worry about it yet. It’s still early
