Ear Piercings closed during pregnancy!

Hello all!
I've heard of all sorts of strange and random pregnancy symptoms, but nobody seems to have heard of ear piercings closing up and I wondered if this was the place to find my compañeros - not because it's a big problem, more to see if it's a known side effect of pregnancy or just something that happened to occur at this time for me.
It happened almost immediately, around 4 weeks, with white scabbing just taking over the piercing and now they're just lumps of scar tissue.. My theory is that my body went into mega cell growth regenerating in any place it could find a job! I'm such an earring lover and annoyingly I can't even wear clip-on earrings because they're so uncomfortable on the lumps!

Weirdly now you say it, my most recent piercings, although still a year old at least have been sore during this pregnancy and I took one out and it closed up within a day or two. Not sure I can bring myself to force the earring back in though 😂

In my first pregnancy, this happened to me. Haven’t had them re-pierced since as hadn’t had them pierced too long before then. I hadn’t found many people to had happened to!!

Both pregnancies I've struggled getting my earnings in. Giving up after making my ears bleed and throwing up. It MUST be a thing.

Not during pregnancy but my piercings regularly close up. I dont wear earrings for weeks at a time and pretty much always have to re-pierce my ears. Just do it myself by forcing the earring through.
