Graves disease in pregnancy

Hi. Just wondering if graves disease (in remission) counts as high risk for pregnancy?

Did anyone have any specific different care because of the graves disease?

Thanks

I’d see an endocrine dr for sure!

I was under a consultant obstetrician and consultant endocrinologist while I was pregnant with Graves disease. No issues with the pregnancy though and was well looked after with regular growth scans too.

Thanks. That's good to know. Was your graves stable when you fell preg? Or were you on treatment/symptomatic?

I had treatment for Graves disease over 12 years ago and am pregnant now. I am having regular blood tests and see a consultant.

I was stable and had been taking PTU over carbimazole for a while due to wanting to fall pregnant.

It was 8 years ago so not super recent so my memory is a bit hazy. I had a big relapse of symptoms when my son was 6 months old which ultimately led to a thyroidectomy when he was 12 months old.
