What was everyone worst week for morning/all day sickness? And when did it start to ease?

I am currently 9 weeks exactly and I swear it has ramped up! I feel awful and can't keep anything down. Zero energy. Feeling major mum guilt for the 4 year old who has been stuck on the couch with me for weeks 🫠🫠

I have so much respect for you going through this with a 4 year old!

This is my first and I am 8+6 and yesterday the morning sickness hit like a ton of bricks. I cannot keep a thing down. Thankfully working from home today and DH is away to the pharmacy to get me something. If this continues no idea how I am going to manage to get into the office.

I believe you're at the peak now - I have HG and at 9-11 weeks I questioned whether I would actually survive to tell the tale

Are you on medication to help the sickness?

Happyharper · 08/04/2024 12:59

11 and 12 were the worst - i guess that's when the hormones peak? 14 now a bit better but not great.

9ish weeks was the worst for me in both pregnancies, didn't get better at 12 weeks like I was hoping but by week 14 I was feeling better and by week 16 miles better. Hopefully you'll be the same if not sooner!

About 8 - 11, hang in there!

Following as I am 10 weeks and feeling like death! Praying this is the peak. Sending solidarity!

Honestly the acid reflux and vomiting was awful until 12 weeks. I'm now 14 and it's calmed down massively. Not completely gone but I can cope now.
I had to get omeprazole from my gp for most of it.

Rosesanddaisies1 · 08/04/2024 14:03

8-10 was worse for me. 14 weeks now and almost feel normal!

DramaAlpaca · 08/04/2024 14:38

In two of my pregnancies I felt worst between 9 and 12 weeks, just so tired and so nauseous all the time. It finally stopped at about 20 weeks.

With my second child the all day nausea kicked in at 12 weeks, just as I stopped breastfeeding the first one, but it wasn't too awful. Still didn't stop until 20 weeks, though.

For me the worst was 11 weeks. That was when I went to the doctor and got medication, which I really wish I’d done earlier.

With the medication it has been better, although I’m currently 15+5 and have had horrendous vomiting for 4 days straight now (it had gone down to 3ish times a week). I have no idea why it’s suddenly so bad, but I’m not having as many issues with nausea, which is a plus!

It does make me wonder how much worse it would be without the medication.

Pregnancy 1 - vomited 3 times a day from week 7 until week 25ish. The all day nausea eased off by about 16 weeks though.

Pregnancy 2 - full blown hypermesis. Vomiting at least hourly and strong nausea all day from weeks 7-20. It then vanished and I was fine.

Both times I would say the nausea was at its worst from weeks 8-14.

Thank you so much for your replies!
I have had the sickness all day from pretty much 4 weeks so hoping I feel some relief at the end of the first trimester. I'm totally over the lack of motivation 😔

The doctor had given me cyclizine which was not working and just making me feel exhausted. They have now given me prochlorperazine to try. Has anyone had any good results from this?
