What's your opinions on the owlet sock? I've never had one with any of my kids as they wasn't around 7 years ago but I remember how I never used to sleep as I used to check my baby was breathing , I've have severe anxiety (medicated) for 13 years now I'm (27 yo) 2 children and 1 on the way, my anxiety has worsened over this pregnancy severely I read about this owlet sock and was amazed, but then seen the price 💀 , any advice ? I was going too get the snuzhero but again with my anxiety I read sometimes it can go off wrongly from movements etc, I looked at it from a cheaper version.. I'd love to hear your opinions as I've googled a lot about it some say it's controversial some say it saved there baby's life seeing there oxygen drop etc..

I have a 3 week old and we have one. It's gone off falsely once so far and sometimes has trouble connecting to the base station. I'm not sure if the connection thing is our wifi or the owlet itself. If I'm honest, I'm kind of non-plussed about it but my husband is quite anxious and I think he really likes it. I did suggest returning it when we had problems with it connecting. I hadn't realized that it also gives you sleep stats so that's sort of interesting and could possibly help you if you had sleep issues.

Sorry should have said that my husband didn't want to return it when I suggested we should consider it given the connection problem. We haven't had the issue for a few days now. Here's some screenshots so you can see what info it gives you.

I love our owlet. Used it every night for a year now! We started out with the snuza hero but didn't get along with it - very fiddly to get on and off the nappy in the middle of the night and had a few false alarms.
The owlet has been great when my son is ill. His resting heart rate increases so I can usually tell when he is about to get ill from looking at the data before he actually gets symptoms. Plus I know when he is on the mend because his stats improve. It's been very useful. Some people will say it makes you more anxious but I found it more reassuring when his stats were good.

@calishire & @Fatfriends23 thankyou guys, I'm trying to find a second hand one as I cannot afford the full price with my daughters bday been a week before my C-section. It's hard to find second hand I don't trust Facebook as there's so many scams and Vinted there not much cheaper than being brand new lol!

Worth every penny! My son had really bad reflux and would be sick after his feeds in his sleep so it gave me such peace of mind. Planning to use it with 2nd baby due in September.
