Hi just hoping for some advice really! sorry for long post pic of my positive test on 17/2/24 not recently
On 17/2/24 I had 3 positive urine tests (around 10/11 DPO- or so I thought), 2 were fainter but there, one was very strong positive. I was over the moon. I thought I would be around 3 weeks.
Around the 20/2/24 I called 111 as I was panicking and having negative & positive results every day, and my GP woudlnt see me as they say it’s not their job to confirm a pregnancy which I understand. The 111 operator asked when my last period was, and when I explained she said it sounded like I might have been around 7 weeks pregnant (the date of that call around 20th feb) because my last ‘period’ sounded more like implantation bleeding. However I was testing regularly and DID NOT test positive til the 17/2/24.
The 111 lady was lovely and she told me to go to an urgent care centre in the next 2 hours. The doctor at urgent care did a urine test which was negative (again, i had a positive urine one around 2 hours before this). She said I would need a blood test as my urine tests were giving so many different results.
I went for a private blood HCG beta test that afternoon which came back negative (not even a trace of HCG), which obviously was a bit of a shock as I was having all these positives but there was nothing at all in my blood. Bear in mind this whole time I had so many symptoms of pregnancy,
Anyway, i started really heavily bleeding with bad cramps very shortly after the blood test (maybe 3/4 days after).
I was told by my Dr this would signal a miscarriage. However as the last couple of months has gone by, my pregnancy symptoms are still there. I have had one short vaginal bleed around 3 weeks after the miscarriage bleed.
I know I am probably clutching at straws, is there a possibility I would still be pregnant? I never had an ultrasound or anything and as I say my HCG urine was different sometimes strong positive sometimes faint and sometimes negative and my bloods were fully negative, which is strange to me because I was always told blood HCG was stronger than urine. I’m still having many of the same symptoms they never really stopped but these 2 occasions of bleeding have made me assume I am no longer? But apparently it can happen on rare occasions?
Has anyone had something similar? My GP will not confirm a pregnancy or anything so I don’t know how to get an ultrasound without sounding absolutely crazy….
