Bishop Score 2- Absolutely distraught

I'm feeling so completely and utterly hopeless right now. Just had a stretch and sweep and my Bishop Score was only 2: 1cm dilated, medium softness, posterior, baby high up, not effaced. I was so convinced I'd be much closer to labour after all the pains I've been having but nothing. Booked for an induction next week and really don't want it. Does anyone have any positive experiences of going from a low Bishop Score to natural labour quite quickly? Not my first baby if it makes any difference.

Not natural labour no. But I was induced at 37 weeks with my first, and had a solid 0 as my Bishop score to start. I had a lovely vaginal birth less than 36 hours after induction was started.

My sister went to the full 42 weeks, and had a score of 2 as well. One pessary was enough to put her into labour. Her second went from 3 to delivered in only a couple of hours post sweep.

Just remember that it's just your score at that moment in time. Things can change very quickly. Wishing you all the best.

I had a score of 2 (which the midwife said was her being kind). 4 hour labour once induced.
