Pre-eclampsia

I’ve just been admitted for pre-eclampsia at 33+2 - high blood pressure after visual disturbance, protein +1, bloods clear thus far. Consultant talking about trying to keep going to 37 weeks, but very worried about complications. Interested to hear others experience.

@beam23 congratulations. It’s great to hear that she’s with you already and didn’t need a stay in nicu/scbu. Hopefully you recover quickly. They kept me for five days just to be sure that the preeclampsia didnt get any worse after birth.

Hey OP how are you and baby doing?

We’re doing okay - still in hospital waiting for her to gain some weight (and some stamina for feeding) before we go home. I’m exhausted, and just want my own bed, but she’s doing really well - just needs to grow!

Oh bless you. Can you get your own room or you on the ward still? So glad she's doing well. I hope you're recovering well too
