Hi all I'd like to start by saying I'm not concerned at the moment about reduced movements as I do feel
Her kick throughout the day but more want to ask I'm 28 weeks today and baby's kicks are less hyper let's say than maybe 3 weeks ago , also the hospital have said that my placenta is to the front so perhaps I'm just feeling less now than I was ? Is it normal for them to be less hyper and more little kicks not as aggressive let's say as they get bigger ? Had a scan last week and all look perfectly ok. Just not sure what to make of it.

I think it's normal as there is less space for them to move! They say movements stay the same from about 30 weeks. If you're unsure though call triage and ask for some advice I know our triage is always happy to advise 😘

I had the same feeling this week, mentioned it to my midwife when I saw her yesterday and she got me over to the hospital for a trace on baby just to make sure everything is fine. She was hiding and the anterior placenta was blocking things. They said to me just ring if there’s any change in movements so give triage a quick call. They’ll do a little check to put your mind at ease ☺️ my baby is back to being her usual hyper self after being poked and prodded so you might find the same!

My 1st pregnancy my placenta was at the front and I was in and out of hopsital with "reduced movements" from around the 28 week mark, nothing was wrong and baby likely just had their back to my belly so the kicks were more in my back than front resulting in me not feeling them as much or as strong. Im 30 weeks now and This time my placenta is at the back, bang on 28 weeks when they're usually extremely active at night I didn't feel much, I didn't go into hospital as I decided to wait a few hours and then felt a big swoosh around midnight, again baby just in a funny position. The advice is always to get checked out when movements are reduced but with your placenta position it's highly likely baby's just in a different place at the minute, id give it a few hours and if theyre still not active calling up won't hurt:) x

I'm 28 weeks tomorrow and definitely getting more swooshy, big interior movements than the big belly flipping kicks. Lots of little fluttery movements when I'm sat down aswell. There have been a few very quiet days but just as I start to panic I'll get a kick or a movement..it's so hard when they just say 'trust your intuition' especially when there is no solid pattern. Anterior placenta aswell so think she hides sometimes.
