So I've just spent 24 hours in the maternity hospital as I started passing bright red blood. No clots and not a lot of pain. I didn't fill a pad either. However they kept me in just Incase.

So I'm 16+2 - second baby. Cervix was closed upon checking and a quick ultrasound confirmed babygirl is okay in there. They sent me home today to rest for a few weeks..

I can't help but think the worst is yet to happen and I'm just waiting for it 😭

Has anyone been through this and carried a healthy baby to term?

Hi, I had some red bleeding recently at 16 weeks. The hospital said it was due to a cervical ectropian which although was scary, was not any risk to the baby. I continued to have brown discharge for around 3 weeks but it has now cleared up and all is well!

Hey 👋🏼 hope you’re ok
i bled every week up until about 20 weeks, everytime I thought I was losing my baby but I had a bad ectropian which was causing it. I had my worst bleed at around 16 weeks. Keeping everything crossed that all is ok, it doesn’t always mean something bad x

I had bleeding on and off until about 20 weeks. Sometimes it was heavy with clots and sometimes a bit lighter, but bright red. I remember one doctor assuming I was miscarrying because of the amount of blood/clots. I think because I was resting, the bleeding appeared even worse when I stood up, if that makes sense. There was no real pain I don’t think, but it’s hard to remember as I was so upset and stressed.

It was frightening, so I know you must be very worried, but the good news is your baby is okay and your cervix is closed.

In my case I went on to have a big, healthy baby at 38 weeks. He is a healthy 10-year-old now.

Wishing you both a calmer pregnancy from here onwards x

The hospital checked told you your baby is ok. Trust them.

Same for me as @Ros456 but I was 20 weeks and there was a lot of blood. I didn't bleed again for the rest of the pregnancy and baby was born at 40+2 x

I was bleeding on and off until 18 weeks with my second pregnancy. She’s now a healthy 15month old. Hope all goes smoothly for you OP

Thankyou all 🙏🏻 I'm just going to wait it out and hope she stays put.

Experienced lots of bleeding in early pregnancy till about 16w. At 16w I had a massive hemorrhage literally dripping out of me (sorry tmi) but no pain included. Everything is fine so far at 24w and they blamed the bleeding to low placenta.
i know how scary it can be but honestly the only advice that calmed me down at the time was from a sonographer who mentioned that at this point if it was a miscarriage would feel like full blown labor pain wise.
take it easy and try to not stress out🫶🏻
