Booking appointment seems very early

So I found out I’m pregnant on Friday (Yay!) and I called the midwives office today. This is my third pregnancy living in the same area like usual so I’m pretty chilled about it.

I give my details, and she books me in for the 5th April, which I didn’t realise until I got off the call is just over a week away? From my guess, I’ll only be 5 and a bit weeks by then, and she did ask for last period date too so she knows this.

My last two pregnancy’s I’m sure I wasn’t seen until close to 10 weeks, and I wasn’t expecting anything for ages. I’m now looking online and worrying I’m going to be turned away or made to look stupid for booking early? But I did give exact dates. Anyone else had a silly early booking appointment? What did they do?

I think mine was around this time too. They didn't do a great deal, asked lots of questions, sent off for the 12 week ultrasound date, went through risk factors, did a blood pressure test and carbon monoxide test. I also had blood taken quite early on too but I can't remember if that was the first appointment or the second

So the same as usual really. I’m just surprised to be seen so early. It will break the time up a bit better I suppose 😅
