Hi,
I am 6 weeks pregnant and 3 weeks pp (I know, I should have been careful! . On Friday, I started experiencing strong stomach cramps and bleeding followed. I was in intense pain, couldn’t sleep etc. following day, I passed a huge clot which I believe to be tissue which confirmed miscarriage. Bleeding still remained heavy, pain was less intense but it was my daughter’s birthday party so maybe I was distracted. Saturday night pain was even more intense. Today is the 4th day, I am leaking through 2 pads, clothes, dressing gown. Bright red blood and clots still. And I am still in a lot of pain. I know my body is still not in its greatest shape as I’m only 3m PP but is this normal? X

@HussaAZH How can you be 6 weeks' pregnant if you only had a baby 3 weeks ago?

HussaAZH · 26/03/2024 00:19

I think they told me something like if you leak through two pads an hour you should go to a&e x

That does sound like alot of bleeding. If I were you I’d call your early pregnancy unit and see if you can get seen as it sounds like you could do with a scan. Or even go to A&E as as this does seem like more blood loss than expected. Leaking through pads to your dressing gown would alarm me.

That doesn’t sound normal 4 days in, I think you need to go to A&E with that level of bleeding.

Thanks all. I went hosp today, scan showed pregnancy had passed and showed blood inside me. Had spectrum test done and neck of my womb was open with the content’s inaccessible. So just going to let thT come out naturally.
