I went to bed at 10pm feeling quite uncomfortable and haven’t been able to sleep since (it’s now 2:40am). I have a dull ache in my back and lower abdomen and tightenings coming every 10 mins. Not unbearable but enough to keep me awake. I’ve been having tightenings all evening and have been for a good few weeks but they tend to ease off when I go to sleep but tonight they’ve not stopped. I keep getting a pulling sensation down below. I’ve also been to the loo to pee about every ten mins in the last 4 hours and have nausea. No show or no sign or waters though. I’m booked in for a c section next week. Should I go into triage or wait it out? I’ve had signs of labour all week that have led to nothing but this doesn’t seem to be easing off. Did anyone else’s labour start like this?

It could be labour beginning, why not call your medical profession and let them know. Good luck OP.

If you have a c section booked in there is obviously a reason for that. Ring now

Thanks everyone. I eventually fell back to sleep at 4am as the pains had petered out. Bit gutted as I thought it was the start of everything. My DS is wide awake now so this is good practice for the sleepless nights ahead. I’ll keep an eye on things today but I feel like my body is teasing me 😭.

@CD1987 I am in this exact stage myself! I’m 40+3 and every night having 10 minutely contractions for a few hours before they fizzle out. Very frustrating!
